Generally, the recommended dose of Fastin is one 30 mg capsule daily. It should be taken 1 to 2 hours before breakfast or 1 to 2 hours after breakfast. Do not take Fastin late in the afternoon as it can cause insomnia. You should not consume alcohol while taking Fastin due to adverse side effects. Fastin should not be taken if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. If you become pregnant while taking Fastin, stop taking it and see your doctor right away. Phentermine is listed as an FDA Pregnancy Category X. Clinical trials have demonstrated that it can cause birth defects such as cleft palate and cleft lip. It is possible that Fastin may pass into breast milk, so do not take Fastin if you are breast feeding.

Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals Fastin & Fastin XR reviews

This class of drugs that are used to treat obesity are commonly called anorectics or anorexigens. So far it hasn’t been determined that these drugs work strictly by way of appetite suppression. Other areas of the brain may come into play in terms of metabolic effects. It has been demonstrated through clinical trials that obese patients who take anorectic drugs and are placed on a dietary management program, lose more weight than patients treated with placebo and diet.

Although the weekly weight loss is small, it all adds up in the end of the 3 month program. More weight is lost in the first month and then weight loss slows down. Most of the weight loss for the first two weeks is due to water loss. The results in clinical trials vary considerably and involve differences in doctor-investigator, what population is treated and what diet is used. These clinical trials are of short duration (12 weeks or less) so you need to consider obesity times are considered in years. A short clinical trial has some short comings in terms of what it can address.

Although the prescription drug Fastin that contains the generic drug Phentermine is no longer available in the USA, it has become a natural supplement with the trademark name “Fastin”. It has no Phentermine but has Phenylethelamine, botanicals and caffeine.
